rfid antenna design
In this work, an RFID tag antenna with dual-band operation, i.e., operating in North American and European RFID bands is designed. The designed tag antenna possesses high radiation efficiency and high realized gain in both the resonating bands.
The proposed multi-band resonator for chipless RFID tag provides high data capacity in a compact size. The spatial and spectral efficiencies of the proposed tag are compared to state-of-the-art chipless RFID tags, including the hybrid designs.
In this paper, a broadband UHF RFID tag is proposed. By introducing a coupling loop and four bent dipoles, two resonant modes are excited in UHF RFID band, which results in a total 194 MHz (806MHZ-1GHz) 3dB operational bandwidth.
The tag antenna operating in single UHF RFID region is converted to operate in dual UHF RFID region band tag antenna by modifying its geometry and optimizing the final geometry to obtain resonance at the required resonant frequencies.
In this work, a platform tolerant novel dual band tag antenna is proposed for UHF-RFID bands used in Europe (855-867 MHz) and Japan (950-955 MHz). Asymmetrical shunt stub feed network is employed to effectively match its impedance to the microchip ( Alien Higgs-4 ). In this paper, a novel methodology to design Ultra High Frequency Radio-Frequency IDentification (UHF RFID) tag antennas with Barcode layout is proposed with the challenging goal of “fusing” both technologies in a single device.
Two samples of 14-bit and 40-bit comb-shaped tags are designed, which have physical sizes of 17 mm × 13 and 30 mm × 45 mm, respectively.
