RFID Tecnology (Radio Frequency Identification and Detection) is commonly used in schools, colleges, office and stations for various purposes to automatically keep a track of people.Security, library door entry, parking for motorcycles and cars, and payment are just a few uses for RFID cards [1]. In this work, a fictitious roll call system concept that uses cloud storage and RFID and IoT technologies to verify each student's ID attendance is provided.Results obtained show that when a student who enters a classroom swipes the RFID tag near the reader that is connected externally to microcontroller based embedded system, the system grants access to a registered student and stores the attendance information on a PC database.Our system proposes using a combination of RFID and Facial Recognition Techniques to streamline the process of marking attendance. The combination of RFID and Face Recognition provides 2-Factor Authentication to ensure accurate attendance.
